The mission of the Citizens Committee is to elect Christopher Persons alderman of the 48th Ward on February 27, 2007.
Your primary role as a member of the Citizens Committee is to lend your name in public support of the campaign -- on solicitations and other promotional materials and to 'sign' the letter of introduction to the community scheduled for November 2006.
As a member of the Citizens Committee you should also support the campaign in one or more of the following ways:
- Familiarize yourself with the campaign platform and its talking points and represent the campaign to others in the community.
- Offer your input and suggestions for improvements to the platform or other organizational documents and operations.
- Be the eyes and ears for the campaign and communicate to campaign officers.
- Volunteer -- petitioning, canvassing, phone banking, going door to door, prepare mailings, do literature dissemination (lit drops), proof read, assist with technology, do data entry, do data analysis, perform research, etc.
- Take Election Day, February 27, 2007, off from your regular job and work for the campaign.
- Host coffees.
- Attend fund raisers, volunteer rallies, debates, and other events.
- Support the campaign financially.
- Introduce Chris to others.
The Citizens Committee will receive regular campaign updates and information about its progress. As a member of the Citizens Committee, you will be the first to know.
